Megan and Frank

As we get closer to the fall Wedding season we wanted to recap one of our favorite weddings from last fall- Megan and Frank Beidler. They held their ceremony and reception on the Hauswirth family property and it was nothing short of spectacular. This 3 day event was a brides dream full of family, friends, and fun! Megan and Frank kicked off their wedding weekend Friday night with the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for their family and wedding party and then opened up the historic Thomas Center for a Champagne Reception. The night included piano music played by Jonathan Gil, a lavish fruit, cheese and vegetable display as well as desserts by Chef's Brothers catering. Guests were also given a lesson in the history of the Thomas Center by the lovely Sayers dressed in full costume.

Saturday brought even more delightful Wedding day cheer as guests arrived in charter buses provided by A Candies Limousine. They approached the beautiful ceremony site over looking Paynes Prairie through two massive old oaks ornamented with Spanish moss. Along side the ceremony was a massive tent set by Party Time Rentals for their nearly 400 person guest list. Guest's ears were charmed with the music of "Patchwork" a 5 piece wandering orchestra during the ceremony as Megan and Frank said their " I Do's". Our favorite part of the ceremony had to be the children's parade which did not include one ring bearer and one flower girl, but a parade of about 20 small children. The girls tossed flower petals and the boys rang bells as they all skipped down the aisle to let guests know the bride was on her way.

The reception was nothing short of amazing with the delicious southern inspired buffet done again by Chef Brothers, beautiful centerpieces from The Plant Shoppe, cupcakes to die for by Ms. Debbie's Sugar Art, and a flawless performance from the band The Tremors and the Earthquake Horns - what a fabulous band! Thankfully we had the pleasure of having the K-Gallery photographers there to capture all these wonderful memories!
Megan and Frank finished out the weekend with a Farewell Brunch held at Albert's restaurant at the Hilton University of Florida.
Here is what Frank had to say about his wedding day and his experience with A'vie:
On behalf of Megan and myself I just wanted to say “thank you” one more time for helping with our “big day.” I hear so many friends tell us that they don’t get to enjoy their own weddings. We didn’t feel that way. In fact, at various points throughout our engagement friends would ask how “stressed” we were. Thanks to A’vie our stress was minimal. I think in retrospect that was the biggest value of having a wedding planner. A’vie made the plans, timelines, delivery dates, etc. and let us focus on decisions like where everyone should be seated. It was a wonderful arrangement. There’s simply no question in my mind that for people sitting on the fence about whether to arrange for a wedding planner A’vie is the right choice. It’s a life saver. The staff is so friendly and so organized I just can’t imagine we would have had as great a wedding without them. And I know – for a fact – that we would have been so busy worrying about the details that we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy it

Kim and JJ

Back in April, Angela and I had the pleasure of working with Kim Wallen and JJ Wimbush, along with their parents, to plan their wedding. After months of meetings and making sure every detail would be perfect, the big day finally arrived.

The romantic outside ceremony was held under a chuppah by the fountain at the Thomas Center, and featured a very special guest as the ring bearer- Fritz, the tuxedo-clad Yorkshire Terrier! The bride and groom choose a wine ceremony to symbolize the union of their two lives and families and had a close friend perform the ceremony for them.

After the ceremony, it was time to head to Eventfuls as Mr. and Mrs. JJ Wimbush! Complete with linens from A'vie, flowers from The Flower Shop and decor designed by the Bride's mother, Stephanie, the reception was stunning! A friend of the family even climbed a 20 foot ladder to hang decor from the very high ceiling over the dance floor- a task which most of us at A'vie fear! Throughout the night, guests savored food prepared by Chef Brothers Catering and the lovely cake made by Kathy at KB Kakes. DJ entertainment by Kevin Quinn with Storybook Events kept the guests on the dance floor and the party going for hours! It's a good thing Leigh from Amantez Photography and Bob Lightner Videography were there to capture all of the fun moments! One of the most special moments of the night was the speech recorded by the Best Man who couldn't attend the wedding due to his deployment overseas. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as he toasted the couple with purified water from the fertile Tigris River- symbolizing the blessings and fertility that will fill their marriage. As the planners, Angela and I truly enjoyed working with this couple, their families, and all of the vendors! What a fun night!

A'vie Photo Shoot

Check out some of the finished product from our exclusive photo shoot with Stewart and Susan from Powers Photography! We had an absolute BLAST working with them. It was an afternoon full of glamour and plenty of laughs. We ventured downtown to change up our classic look for something a little more edgy and fun. Powers did and amazing job not only photographing us but also giving us a lot of great ideas for locations and poses. So take a look and let us know what you think.!

Vic and Eric's Wedding in Live Oak

We were privileged to do a unique and rustic wedding at Spirit of the Suwannee River in Live Oak, Florida. The couple stay in the Tree House which over looks the stage arena for local artisit and other famous bands that come each weekend to show their talent.

The Spirit of the Suwannee River has a very cute chapel where family sat while their dear friends watched from outside. Vic and Eric were able to have their friends who introduced them to each other perform their ceremony. Step two was their reception in Spirit of Suwanne River new banquet room.

The groomsmen had a great time with the mother of the groom.

We had the opportunity to work with Amy Oxner as their photographer. She was so much fun to work with. She fit in just like family. We had a Covington's Catering out of Georgia come in to take care of our food. To put the finishing touches on the evening we had a delicious cake by Danette Drageset. A yellow cake with fresh strawberry filling.

We even have time to have a little fun with the groomsmen. Our staff loves our groomsmen. :)

Amy and Cam at Golden Ocala!

One of our favorite couples...and from these fun photos by IMJ Photography you can see why!

What a day full of suprises- weather being one of them! We all prayed all week that it wouldn't rain that day and it held off right until we got everyone on the veranda for the cocktail hour and then the rain came pouring down! It didn't spoil our fun though- this reception was packed full of games including a trivia game about the newlyweds as well as the Newly-wed Game.

Margaret and Camilo's Wedding in St. Augustine

We just did a beautiful tropical wedding in St. Augustine at Llambias House for the ceremony and the reception was being held at The White Room. These are two very stunning venues to have any event at.

We had the opportunity to work with Our Labor of Love Photography from Georgia. She was able to capture some beautiful shots which you will see here.

Dan from Unforgettable Events was able to transform each of the venues into something spectacular. It is amazing how he can decorate ANYTHING.

The food was fabulous from The White Room. We were very pleased with the presentation and working with Serena from The White Room.

If you are looking for a unique spot to have your next event you might think of doing a destination location. We can help you plan it.

Thank you Dan for doing our Videography. It was great to work with you.

Just a sample of one of the Tee Signs we had for each of the holes.

We are thrilled that we were able to be a part of Dwight's Fight. We are looking forward to planning next years event.
