Part 2 of Marisa and Joseph

This was the couple we were able to get into the Harn Museum for engagement pictures (Featured earlier on our blog). This is part two of their story - Marisa & Joseph a couple very much in love with each other. Their loved consumed them in an amazing way (this isn’t to say we haven’t seen this before, but it is so awesome to see it in our couples). Joseph was one of our few grooms that were truly involved. I love seeing grooms get involved because it helps for the wedding day to take on a whole new outlook. He was able to see how his input mattered. Marisa was such a great bride. She is just as organized as I am so she and I worked very well together.
Marisa has a love for “squares” so you will notice that we incorporated them as much as possible. Also, Marisa created a monogram and we used it in just about everything we could (save the dates, invitation, original aisle runner, cake, doors, mirrors, and even more!). It was fantastic to be a part of their wedding. Marisa and Joseph held their wedding in two places very special to them - the Baughman Center for the Ceremony and Sweetwater Branch for their reception.
Their flowers were from The Plant Shoppe. You should have seen the red roses. Wow did they ever pop off of the black accents we had. I couldn’t help saying ‘WOW’ every time we saw them. She even found square crystals for Marisa’s bouquet. The above and beyond details made it that much more personal and everything she had dreamed it to be.
This was our first time working with Witzel photography .They were such a pleasure. Rob really listened to the concerns Marisa had with the weather (it being so hot). We did all we could beforehand inside Mae’s cottage at SWB to try and beat the heat. The room we used had the best lighting. Rob & Marian were able to capture the smallest details, which is a true treat for us seeing as though “detail” is our middle name. Mike from Videotronics was back with us again. He is always a joy to work with. We are so used to each other that we know how the other one thinks and love to have a good time picking on each other.
We had the pleasure of A Candies Limo picking them up in the Rolls Royce. They took them over to the Baughman Center for a beautiful wedding. Everything was perfect down to the black monogrammed aisle runner we special ordered. It was truly a great addition to the already charming Baughman Center.
To add to the finishing touches of the evening, when you walked into SWB McKenzie Hall you saw the monogrammed doors & the square cylinder roses (just for Joseph a inside jokeJ). As I said before, the “pop” of the red roses on the centerpieces was unbelievable - Betsy Gardner from TPS knows just how to pick the perfect red! It was all just so stunning!
Wait we have more… The reception had a feel of its own with a 9 piece, sophisticated band by Kelly Music. It was so nice to have a band again. We are getting spoiled by having bands lately. They had a certain element that is so different from having a DJ. I love my DJ’s but a band adds in some personality of the couple. We wrapped up the traditional events with some wedding cake from Danette Drageset. It was so yummy! The night continued with a lot more music from our band and the final farewell was a petal toss over the bridge at Sweetwater Branch Inn
