Yesterday we talked about the birthday drink I created last week. Today, Lindsey and I found a great website for you to create your own drink for any occasion. Simply click on the link and choose your color and type of drink you would like. Here's a great example for Halloween.
Basil Blood Orange Mojito
The classic with a bloody touch
2 parts Stirrings Blood Orange Martini Mixer
1 1/2 parts Myers Light Rum
4 fresh basil leaves
Garnish: Stirrings Blood Orange Rimmer
Slice of orange
Rim Collins glass with Blood Orange Rimmer. Muddle fresh basil leaves into the Collins glass. Top with ice add spirit and Blood Orange Mixer. Short shake and top with a slice of orange.
See the ingredients and information below:
Blood Orange Martini
Sweet like strawberry, tart like citrus, color like nothing else in nature, the blood orange lives across fruit varietal and taste boundaries. For you, it’s a chance to make a brilliant blood orange cosmo, scary blood orange daiquiris or sophisticated blood orange Champagne cocktails.
Did you know: Blood oranges have a distinct, sweet flavor but are slightly more bitter and less acidic than regular table oranges.
