What is it?
- Giving of roses to the mother of the bride and mother of the groom
How is it done?
- As the bride comes in to the ceremony and walks down the aisle before she gets to the front for the 'giving of the bride' she gives one rose from her bouquet to her mother before going up on the platform/stage for the actual ceremony.
- The rose itself is from the bouquet but the florist leaves it separate so it can be easily handed to her.
- The final piece of the Flower Exchange is that once the ceremony as ended the bride and groom come up the aisle that she hands the mother of the groom a rose from the ceremony.
Expect tears of joy. The mothers will be pleased and overwhelmed by the rose.
