Cocktail Parties that are on a budget

As the economy is affecting everyone we at A`vie are working on ideas to come up with creative ways to do a wedding on a budget. Here are a few things to think about to have a cocktail reception and still be on a budget.

• Have it earlier in the day... like 4pm-7pm instead of 7pm-10pm
• Have appetizers only...tell your guests in your invitations
• Cut your guest count back
• Keep your decorations simple
• Use candles everywhere
• Finger Foods
• Dessert Assortments instead of a wedding cake
• Cupcakes work too
• Look at the timing of the year for better pricing
• Even look at the days of the week
• Plus consider the timing
