Programs can be beautiful, simple, elegant, personalized, and unique and a keepsake. They are not necessary and are TOTALLY optional. Although I feel like they can be a welcoming to your guest though as they arrive to the ceremony. If you are having a Intercultural wedding you really need to consider this as an option. This allows your guest to really be a part of it. Along with they get a history of who you are. As your guests are coming from near and far you can give them a keepsake to take home. You will also note that they don’t always know both sides. 
A program can give some information about:
· Bride and Groom
· How the bride and groom met
· Wedding Party information on how the bride and groom know them
· Officiant and how they know them and picked them
· Readers
· Musicians
· Explanation of parts of ceremony
· Tribute/Honor to those who have deceased
· Thank you’s
